Drop a comment in the box about what inspires you and you’ll have a chance to win a print from the Etsy Shop “Love.Life. Paper.” On to the interview…

Vee. Share with GT readers a bit about yourself and how you got started?
I’m a Libra which makes my life a little indecisive and hectic at times; but I like it. I love to spend time with family (mother of two adorable kiddies), travel and just enjoy life as much as I can. I live in the burbs of DC which inspires me daily. I started scrap-booking eight years ago after the birth of my son. The rest is history. I’ve been busy documenting documenting life big and small ever since.

At Get Togetha we feature  iconic inspiration: Who or what is your inspiration and/or motivates you to do what you do?
Life, fashion, family, friends and the Internet are all avenues of inspiration. But mainly I love creating for the “art” of creating. For me its all about getting my ideas and thoughts about life on paper. It’s both therapeutic and fulfilling. My main motivator in the beginning was to document my children’s life, but then I realized that my life in essence is theirs as well so I now create for me but with them in mind. (Love that!). I want my children to know who I am as a woman when they are grown.

What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is always changing (that darn Libra!); but currently its to travel the world over.
I love all different cultures knowledge that the world has to offer.

What is the most challenging aspect of being a creative person?
To keep the “me” in my work without becoming too bored with my style or over influenced by others. I’m always coming up with ideas. I joke that I have Creative ADD.
If you could have anyone over for dinner living or dead who would you invite and what would you serve?
I would invite my dad and the Obamas. My dad would be thrilled and astounded to have dinner with them! The conversation at dinner would be pretty cool, I’m sure. For the menu I would serve comfort food with a healthy twist: Baked fried chicken, low fat (but Michelle O approved) mac & cheese, green beans, and homemade whole wheat bread rolls. Dessert: Cream cheese pound cake. Yum. Okay Now I’m hungry.
Creative blessing: Vee Jennings.

Vee’s photos are beautiful! Love how some have a soft contrast and the short depth of field. The variety of subject matter leaves anyone with a favorite photo. Inspiration for me, comes from my environment!

I am inspired by the first lady, Michelle Obama. I would love to have a conversation with her about how to manage family and work. She is a great role model to young adult females such as myself!

“I’m a Libra which makes my life a little indecisive and hectic at times; but I like it.” That line describes me to a T!! And “Creative ADD,” that’s me too.
