convo: day dreamer or realist?

take a soak.

If you’ve been reading the Get Togetha blog for some time you’ll notice a pretty vivid imagination. Blogging kinda forces you write in a way that you wouldn’t otherwise so for the most part that’s something I’ve developed over time but I would say that if I haaaaaad to categorize myself I’d call myself a realist with a few dreamer tendencies. I think its a tremendous natural talent to believe in sparkle ponies, magic wands, fairy godmothers, and dungeon dragons. And it actually took more time than I’d care to admit that yes its possible to believe in things unseen. For a more than a long time my motto was: If I don’t see it. I don’t believe it. End of story. Now I’m a little bit softer around the edges. How bout chu? Are you a day dreamer or a realist?

I’m def a dreamer…my head is always in the clouds. Sometimes a dose of realism is needed to bring me back down, but it doesn’t stop me from being a dreamer!

Definitely a dreamer. That’s why I have the friends that I have. They will hit me upside the head when necessary. :-)

Yes. You need realists if you’re a dreamer and dreamers if you are a realist …its all about balance…

Sooo a dreamer. When I was younger, the nuns in my school would reprimand me for daydreaming during class lol. But till this day…I am who I am, and will continue to dream…

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. …..

    FOREVER A DREAMER.

I love your writing. And I most definitely a dreamer. Always have been. Not to much of my life is based in reality. Which probably explains all of the psychiatry bills.

However, I am still a step away from my 90 year old Aunt Virgie who gets visited bu Barack and Michelle Obama daily. No matter what ever they are doing in the world, they “somehow” make it her house in Michigan every morning to watch “The View” with her.

To quote her exactly…and I’m not exaggerating: “They like the pillows to be facing a certain way when they sit on my bed. You know…they call that ‘TEXTING’”.

So given that info… I think you and I are both okay living in dreamland.

When it comes to life I am definitely a dreamer and the one who is always rooting for the underdog. Sometimes friends and family bring me crashing back down to “reality” and yet many times I am the one who surprises them by saying something that I eventually turn into a reality.
So whose to say my dreams aren’t reality just because they can’t be seen in the moment?

The rub about dreams. They’re there for a reason but if they don’t get watered with action they’re just “play time” in the head.

I’m a little bit of both… but my anxiety leads me to be a realist more days than I’d like!!

As a natural realist…its takes practice for me to dream…sounds silly but its true…and I’ve gotten a TON of a lot better..

Realist all the way. I have a hard time day-dreaming. It must be the Capricorn in me…

Not to get all spooky but I find that water signs are the dreamiest…the Scorpios, Cancers, Pisces people…

I am daydreamer. Always have been and always will be. I love to use my imagination, even though I know that the things I daydream about may not come true. Actually I need that tub in the picture and then I can do some real daydreaming.
